“The Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL) was formed in 1939 to provide air travel from New Zealand to Australia and acquired three flying boats, one being the ZK-AMA Aotearoa depicted here. Initially, the service was weekly and the Trans-Tasman flight took 9 hours.” – Simon Stockley.
